The Bridge

I think more than love, is the understanding and trust that make a relationship last. It makes your bridge. Rather, it strengthens it. There can be Immense love  but if there isn't any understanding, that love is going to slowly fade away. When you understand each other, there's just a different level of connection you feel on an internal level, cannot be thoroughly explained in words but I'm sure you must have experienced it with one or two people in your life. It's a rare connection. A gift. And most importantly, that connection is so effortless. You won't even realize you're so in touch with the other person's soul, you can literally tell them what they are thinking. It's rare. And it doesn't leave so easily. Love blossoms suddenly. But understanding, that takes a long time, maybe more because the love born out of understanding is nurtured, It grows.
And, am not saying if there's no understanding, there's no love but, if you don't connect your strings with a strong foundation of understanding, do you really think that love will live? If someone doesn't match your frequency despite of all the efforts, let them go, with love in their hearts. You keep the lovely memories but find yourself moving on. Because someone can be madly in love with you, but if they won't be ready to join you on your bridge, there's no point waiting.
There is more love in this wide and wild universe. An extraordinary love that will understand. And that love, will be ready to meet you on the bridge.
